Project Overview

This project aims to establish a comprehensive Design System for Power BI to ensure consistent, insightful, and user-friendly data visualizations throughout the organization. The core Objective is to streamline the creation of Power BI reports and dashboards by providing clear guidelines and reusable components. The Scope includes defining design principles, standardizing color palettes and typography, establishing best practices for chart types, layout, and interactivity, and creating a framework for accessible data storytelling.

My Contributions

Key Deliverables will be a documented design system, reusable templates and components, and training materials for Power BI users.

The project commences with a strategic kick-off meeting to ensure stakeholder alignment and clearly define the project's scope and objectives. In-depth stakeholder interviews will be conducted to gain a comprehensive understanding of current Power BI utilization, pinpoint existing pain points, and collect specific requirements.

Concurrently, a thorough review of existing design systems and data visualization best practices will be undertaken to inform the project's approach. Ultimately, the insights gathered will be synthesized to establish the foundational design principles and measurable success criteria that will govern the project's trajectory.
